Feature Story!!!!! CMS Review: "Blogger"

Today, we are going to do a feature story reviewing the popular CMS Blogger.com


    Blogger is a great and very popular service because it is completely Free! Unlike other CMS platforms, there are no tier-levels of service, where features are locked unless you upgrade.

    Just because it is a free service doesn't mean it isn't lacking of many quality features.  Blogger incorporates a plethora of wonderful features and toolkits.  Some of these include:

  • Customizable templates and themes
  • Drop and drag interface for images and media
  • Built-in Analytics
  • Integration with Google Services
  • Social Media sharing buttons
  • SEO tools
    These features and toolkits allow for versatility.  From the simple man to the tech guru, any type of user can take advantage of these features to build various types of sites, including:

  • Personal Blogs
  • Business Blogs
  • Vlogs
  • Portfolio Website
  • News Website
  • Educational Website
  • E-Commerce Website
    As creators, we must ensure that we account for accessibility support.  Blogger makes it simple to tie in accessibility support into your design!  Some of the supported features include:

  • Screen Reader Compatiblity
  • Alt tags
  • Closed Captions and Transcriptions
  • High-Contrast Mode
    Though Blogger appeals to many, it is mostly used by individuals and small businesses.  Some examples of small businesses that take advantage of blogger include Gamestechy, SEO Check Rank, Chordsone, and TechStack.  

    Many people want their URL's to be simple.  They don't want their business website link to be associated with blogspot.com.  Fortunately, Blogger allows users to link their page to a custom domain.  Follow this link for more information.

How to Control Access to your Blog on Blogger!

  Hi There!  ☺ Here are the simple steps to control access to your blog on blogger: 1: How to add team members STEP 1 : USING YOUR GOOGLE CREDENTIALS, SIGN IN TO YOUR BLOGGER ACCOUNT AT  BLOGGER.COM STEP 2 : Select your blog in the top left corner. STEP 3 :  In the menu on your left, click the  "Settings"  option . STEP 4 :  Scroll to "Permissions" then click on "Invite more readers" STEP 5 :  In the pop-up, enter the e-mail address of the person you wish to invite. Then click "Send" Once accepted, the team member name will appear on your menu.  To give a team member Administrator Access, click on their name and select "Admin".
